CEO’s job is rarely easy, but 2020 posed unprecedented challenges (and even a few unique opportunities). Most workplaces were rocked to their core by the Covid-19 pandemic which brought not just an abrupt transition to remote working, but also soaring unemployment and uncertain corporate financial forecasts, racial justice protests that forced once considered taboo topics to the forefront of workplace conversation and a uniquely charged and stressful political climate. Indeed, 2020 was packed with completely unforeseen challenges not covered in most executive MBA programs, and many leaders undoubtedly withered under the pressure.
