The company built its Logan, Utah facility in 2015 with 972 solar modules that generated 311 kilowatts of energy. At the time of construction, the roof was reinforced with growth and expansion in mind. The recent expansion tripled the number of panels and energy, creating a system capable of generating more than a megawatt of solar power. With the expansion completed, the Malouf headquarters houses the largest privately-owned solar array in Cache County and one of the largest in the state. The building’s production of more than one gigawatt of electricity annually equates to the annual energy use of 104 homes and offsets 110,647 gallons of gas and 312 tons of landfill waste annually.
