This means that as a company, and through our work with the Malouf Foundation, we’re concerned not only with revenue, but also with our corporate social responsibility for society, workers, the community, and the environment. Meg Barnhart and Jane McKay co-created Zen of Slow Cooking in 2012, with a vision to bring people back to the dinner table to enjoy delicious home-cooked meals. They also wanted to create a business where adults with developmental challenges could work—this dream was largely inspired by Meg’s personal desire to create a business for her own son.
