High Point Market Recap
25 October 2013
High Point marks the end of a whirlwind of tradeshows. Our first permanent space at High Point Market was a great success. If you missed us at the show, don’t worry, we’ll fill you in here.
Since we’re expanding our distribution in the East Coast, showing at High Point only made sense. We debuted on Oct. 19, displaying these five lines: Z Pillows, Malouf Fine Linens, Sleep Tite Mattress Protectors, Structures Bed Frames, and ISOLUS™ Mattress Toppers. Each of these dynamic lines showed something new.
Z Pillows introduced the Gel Dough Memory Foam Z-Gel pillow, a unique dual gel pillow designed to combat heat. The Liquid Z-Gel™ lies on top of the pillow for a sleeping surface that will capture and dissipate your body heat for a cooler night's sleep. The memory foam is also infused with Z-Gel™ for a combination that offers an optimal thermal experience. The unique Gel Dough™ memory formula creates a softer, cooler, doughier memory foam.
Malouf Fine Linens debuted three of our most exciting products, the Bed in a Bag, Hotel Collection, and Bamboo Sheets. Click here to learn more about the Hotel Collection Sheets and the Bamboo Sheets.
The Bed in a Bag is a bedding essentials kit perfect for in-store promotions. The set has four main components: two Gelled Microfiber™ pillows, microfiber sheets, and a down-alternative comforter. Learn more about the Bed in a Bag here.
We used a more creative and visual approach to show the product. “The Bed in a Bag’s cool vertical display really brought the heat,” says Sam Malouf, CEO. As one of our more exciting products, the visual display really helped to explain the benefits of Bed in a Bag to the visitors in our show space.
Sleep Tite was accompanied with an interactive display for a more hands-on learning approach of our different protectors. The display was designed and developed in-house by our talented team. Retailers will soon be able to have a customizable display to put in stores that will draw attention to mattress accessory purchases usually left as an add-on sale.
Structures followed Bed in a Bag with another impressive vertical display. Structures featured our new 8 leg Universal Bed Frame. This display showed our commitment to “Raise the Bar” on quality adjustable mattress foundations. The vertical display helped to visually show our patent-pending Tri-Support Brace, a unique leg support system designed to withstand pressure from all angles with a strong three-point connection.
ISOLUS™ Mattress Toppers showed the 2” Gel Topper, a topper infused with gel beads for a cooler sleeping surface. Protecting the topper is a super soft bamboo velour cover. The cover is hypoallergenic and mildew proof, and the bamboo's pores makes the material breathable for a cooler sleeping temperature. The cover is removable for laundering, helping to create a healthy sleeping environment.
We served beautiful, locally handmade macaroons that were a big hit. The eating was good while at the show, but we found plenty of great food once the workday was over. We ate Filet Mignon at Green Valley Grill, fried green tomatoes at Mama Dip’s Kitchen, and some good ol’ Southern BBQ at The Checkered Pig. We rewarded ourselves with milkshakes at our favorite little diner called Steak
